Telegram forwarding
We adhere to the highest standards of confidentiality and security. Your telegrams are handled in a private, secure fashion by experienced, bonded professionals. The confidentiality of telegram processing is our major concern.
|
- According to the rules, standardized by the International Telecommunication Union and the International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee, your telegrams are filed for a limited time (namely 30 days), in order to ensure proper delivery, communication with delivery agents, prompt support inquiries by users, and possible disputes.
- Your privacy is protected and enforced under strict mail privacy laws. In fact, postal privacy laws are sometimes stricter than most civil laws.
- Each is forbidden by law from revealing a (telegram) P.O. Box holder’s name, home address, phone number, or any other information. NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW YOUR ACTUAL PHYSICAL ADDRESS unless you disclose it yourself in the text of your telegram!
- The information requested is for our files only and can only be given to a law enforcement agency in the event of a formal inquiry. Formal inquisitions may take several months and your information remains confidential during the entire process.

Every user of SendTelegram.com is free to send single telegrams without registration or register and obtain a SendTelegram.com Service account. Because your privacy is important to us, SendTelegram.com operates service accounts by the following principles:

Principle 2.
Your Profile Information is used only for the goals of forwarding incoming telegrams, sending non-delivery notices, contacting you in case your e-mail address doesn’t function – as it is defined in the international standards for telegraphic communication. SendTelegram.com keeps all of your Profile Information private and does not share it with any third parties. SendTelegram.com will not disclose your Profile Information unless acting under a good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (1) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process; (2) protect and defend the rights or property of SendTelegram.com; (3) enforce the SendTelegram.com Terms of Service; or (4) act to protect the interests of its members or others.
Principle 3.

Credit card processing
SendTelegram.com is a PayPal Verified Merchant. As we decided in 1997 to outsource credit card acceptance, all on-line transactions are performed by our major credit card processor – PayPal, Inc. SendTelegram.com doesn’t handle, process or store any credit card information of the customers. Every customer is forwarded directly to SSL secured processing server of PayPal. Information exchange between SendTelegram.com and PayPal is limited to general transaction logging, processed amounts and basic identification information.
Below you will find specific security information, concerning PayPal and credit card processing.
The most critical facet of electronic commerce on the Internet is security. Consumers are spending more and more money on-line, but they require constant reassurance that their transactions are secure and that their credit information is safe. PayPal goes to great lengths to protect transaction data and to create the level of comfort desired by your customers. We will not divulge all of our security measures, but we will provide you with some common information about the security of our system. All aspects of our system have been thoroughly investigated and certified by 4 different banks’ security personnel over the past two years.
- Secure Web Server
PayPal employs the Netscape Enterprise Server using SSL (secure socket layering) encryption for the secure exchange of data between your customers and the PayPal system. The system supports both 40bit and 128bit SSL encryption on virtually all browsers.
- Proxy Firewall
The PayPal transaction system resides behind a dedicated Firewall running on redundant Solaris based Dell servers. This protects the PayPal transaction system and the data passing through.
- No Saved Credit Card Numbers
The PayPal transaction system passes the credit card information through its system, but does not retain any credit card numbers. Once the transaction is completed the transaction information (without card numbers) is stored in our SQL database. Only in our offline and offsite accounting server do we retain the entire transaction record. This provides zero targets for potential hackers.
- No Transmitted Credit Card Numbers
The nature of the PayPal system means that you never need to ask your clients for their credit card information. Only PayPal receives this information. This removes your concerns and your customers’ concerns regarding the security of credit card numbers after the transaction.
- Private Processing Network
Once PayPal receives all required information from your customer, the transaction is processed with the banks over private digital lines, not back out over the Internet.
- PayPal’s Risk Management System
The PayPal transaction system provides many other elements of security and risk management as part of basic service including protection against fraudulent credit card number generators, ‘Web Page Hacking’ to alter prices, redundant accidental transactions, and much much more.
Our methods combine the best of traditional electronic transaction security, the most sophisticated TCP/IP network and Internet Web security, and a customized extended security and risk management suite built on our experience. No other real time Internet processing system offers our levels of consumer and merchant comfort.
